Pom Pom Bookmarks

Have you noticed that I’m just slightly obsessed with all things gold, black, and white these days?  Go figure, the girl who absolutely loathed gold now can’t get enough.  I remember when I was younger, looking at my mom’s gold wedding ring and thinking, gold must be one of those things that you like when you’re a grown up.  So, I guess I’m offically a grown-up now.  The black and white thing has reached the point where my husband is actually begging me for a little color around the house–you know when he starts caring about color and design scheme around here, we’ve got an issue.
Anyway, the point?  Even the smallest things around my house are going gold, black & white (or in this case, just gold and white)!  I made these for an Instagram project I’ll be sharing soon, but they were something so simple and adorable that I felt like they deserved their own tutorial–or basically a series of pictures to show them off, because: hot glue + pom + paper clip = awesomeness, is pretty much a given here.
The gold paperclips came from Staples, and you can imagine the little mini-party I had with myself in the aisle when I found: Gold. Paperclips.  They’ve been sitting in a drawer waiting for a purpose for months, and then I opened my drawer, saw them sitting next to white poms left over from an Easter garland, and clouds parted and angels sang.
So in case you didn’t catch it: dab of hot glue on the end of the clip and stick the pom on.
I glued some onto some larger clips from Pick Your Plum for a simple bookmark. (You can also find these clips on the scrapbooking aisle of most craft stores.)  A few clipped on a square of patterned cardstock would make an adorable teacher gift for back to school.  Or…in a variety of colors, be a great way to color code things you want to organize–just an idea!
Happy embellishing!

Please remember to put a link back to Made From Pinterest at the bottom of your post(s).
