Simple Fall Decorating Ideas

Well heeeyyy there! It’s been a minute hasn’t it? I’ve been soaking up some new baby goodness for the last four weeks and I’m just sort of starting to get back into a normal (or new normal) groove. But I’m resurfacing today to join some of my friends for another round of Seasonal Simplicity Tours hosted by House by Hoff and The Happy Housie. I’m the first stop on today’s tour, but when you’re done here, be sure to click through all of the other beautiful spaces from earlier this week.Simple-Fall-Decorating-Ideas MyFabulessLife.com

Today I have the simplest of Fall decor for you. In fact, so simple that I’ve been stressing and hesitant all week about sharing it. We welcomed baby four weeks ago today, so these days, the decor around my house consists more of burp cloths, baby swings, and bottles, and there’s not much I want to do besides sit on the couch and soak up those snuggles and that beautiful baby smell. BUT, I love Fall and it’s not in my nature to not at least change out a few things for the season, so I cleaned up a little, grabbed some pumpkins and mums while I was at my local farm the other day, pulled out my pillows from last year (and a few others from my hoard–it’s a problem) and brought some very simple Fall into the house. Fall Home Tour MyFabulessLife.com

Now that the weather is getting cooler, the outdoor decor is making it’s way inside, so I filled my copper lantern with pumpkins, added a mum and a fall candle inside of a mercury glass candle holder I already had and called it a day. Oh, and a big fat pine cone. Nothing says “Fall” like pumpkins and pine cones.

This yellow pitcher is an old favorite of mine, but it doesn’t usually seem to work during the rest of the year. For Fall, it’s perfect though, so I grabbed some Fall-y faux florals at Hobby Lobby and threw them in. I’m usually all about live plants, but this was just a simpler solution these days, and I love that little pop of purple for the season. Also, simple Fall decorating: candles, candles everywhere. In all of those spicy Fall scents. It could be 100 degrees outside and as soon as you walk into a house that smells like pumpkin spice, you’re automatically transported. AmIRight?!
