I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s posts from the other talented ladies, and if you’re new around here and stopping over from one of the other ladies’ blogs: WELCOME! I’m so glad you’re here!! If you want to start at the beginning of the Christmas Spectacular, you can start here with the Giant Pom Pom Garland. Today, I’m showing you some super simple Instagram Photo Ornaments.Simple Instagram Photo Ornaments | MyFabulessLife.com

If you’ve been around here for a bit, you know that I have quite the crush on Instagram, or really just photos in general. Any way I can find to put more pictures around my house, I’ll take it! And I think Christmas is a perfect time to do just that–sort of a year-in-review on display. So, here’s how to make your own.

Start by printing your photos. You can find my template and directions for printing your Instagram photos at home HERE. I actually used quite a few non-Instagram photos as well, so if you want to do the same, just crop your photos into a square in a photo-editing program first, save them, and then place them in the template the same way you would with Instagram photos. I grabbed a bunch of embellishments to use, but you’ll notice that I ended up sticking mostly to the embroidery floss.

Next, I drew my design lightly with a pencil. You can just freehand, glue ribbons… do whatever, but if I had tried to just go at this with the needle and thread, I can guarantee you that there would have been a very diagonal situation going on here :D And a little note, if you’re going to stitch your photos, it helps to poke the holes first so that the cards don’t bend.

Poke a hole at the top, tie a string through, and that’s really it! Have fun, play around!! If you’re a traveler, a tree full of your vacation photos would be amazing. OR let your little one have a mini-photo session and then let them display their photos on a little tree. Or let the little ones embellish the photos! This is an awesome opportunity to craft with the kids–and you know I love a good project that gets the kids involved!!

What an awesome way to display instagram photos!! I love doing pictures through Instagram – they are so fun, but I’m always sad I don’t have another way to enjoy them. Now I do!
