This post is a little basic, but I wanted to share a quick look at my “mantel” (actually my entry table), and then later this week, I’ll be back to share some of my favorite, budget-friendly, holiday decorating tips and resources in one big post.
So admittedly, I’ve never been a huge Halloween person — mostly the dressing up part: not so much my thing (I think I’ve dressed up like three times since elementary school), but I do LOVE decorating for Halloween, and you know I’m always down for any excuse to throw a party!!  Most of all, Halloween just speaks to my deep love of all things black & white.  So, bet you can’t guess the direction I went with my decor this year!
Yep!  Black and white and OF COURSE gold–I think we’re really close to needing a gold intervention.  I picked up a few embroidery hoops and used some black and white fabrics from my fabric stash, and hung some of my favorite, easy peasy garlands.

I don’t know about you, but I think Halloween practically screams for disco balls, so I threw some in a skeleton dish, and added one of my favorite pictures from Halloweens past, along with a new printable (download at the end of the post).

Lots of old, bundled books, some pumpkins picked up from various places, and some twigs in an orangey yellow pitcher, for just a pop of color, top it all off.
It was really hard to capture this printable in pictures because it’s very subtle, and faded, which I purposely did so it looks a little eerie, but I absolutely love this printable and it’s awesome once it’s printed out–promise!  (Watermark is removed on download)
Tomorrow, you can head over to Whipperberry for THREE more Halloween printables, so be sure to check it out!
