Free Printable Baby Shower Invitations

Yesterday I shared all of the details of the Simple Storybook Baby Shower that my sister and I recently hosted, and today I’m super excited to be able to share a printable version of the shower invitations, card insert, and the library card bookplate.

Free printable storybook baby shower invitations & library card inserts | MyFabulessLife.comI realized yesterday that I didn’t really explain the whole storybook (or library) baby shower idea for those who don’t know. The idea is that each guest brings a favorite book (you can find some of my very favorites here) to start baby and mom-to-be out with a nice little collection of books. So, in our invitation, we included an insert inviting each guest to bring a book. Free printable storybook baby shower invitations & library card inserts |

The next part is my favorite!! I LOVE old school library cards (I look at them on Etsy all the time, but never buy , who knows why), and I thought they’d make perfect little bookplates where everyone could leave their name and some thoughts about the book, or just wishes or wisdom for mom. I ordered the pockets from Amazon, and they’re self-adhesive, so you just peel off the back and stick it in. I have a bunch of these pockets left, and let’s just say I’ll be going through my books and adding some of this cuteness soon ;).

We clipped it all together with a cute little baby paperclip and sent them on their merry way! You can see the rest of the details of the shower here, and downloads are available below. Enjoy!!

UPDATE: I have had a lot of questions about how to edit text on these invitations. If you would like to add text, you can download the file and open it in a program like PicMonkey and add text that way, or you can just write your information in by hand (that was what I had originally intended with these). Because I offer these for free, there is no way to edit the text that is already on them. If you would like a more customized version, it is available for purchase through my Etsy Shop.

(Please remember that free downloads from MFL are for personal use only, and a shout out or follow on social media or by e-mail would be oh-so-appreciated ♥)

Love these printables and have used them several times! Thank you SO much! I tried to find your Etsy site in hopes that you may have more in this series, but the link doesn’t work. Any chance you might be willing to share/sell more images of this design? Looking for the feather elements and a few other florals as used in the invitation. :)

Thank you! You can open them in photo editing software (such as PicMonkey) and add your information, or you can simply write in the information. If you’d like to have them customized, you can also e-mail me and I can set up a customized listing in my Etsy shop.

I love these! I’m very challenged when it comes to anything creative, would I just need to buy card stock and print them out in this way?

Love the Story book Baby Shower post. I am trying to print the invitations and library cards but for some reason I am unable to. Do you know what program I need in order to print the files or why it is not working?

I tried printing the library card but the text is so light you can hardly read it, I’m printing at the highest setting the lines are dark but the text is very faint am I doing something wrong or is that just how they are? Everything is really adorable.

Hi, I love love love these cards! I saved the card just fine but was interested in editing the card. I saw where you recommended PicMonley, I was wondering if you knew an editing program that is free? I am not one to use the programs but for a rare special occasion, so I hate to pay for one just for these invitations; especially when I only need to print 5 invitations! Haha! Your help is much appreciated!

May I ask what you printed the invitation and card asking to bring a card on? Just regular cardstock? I’ve never done this before. I love love this design and it’s so wonderful that you offer the download for free.
    God bless you,
